More Than Golf. A Community.

A fantastic experience! Working for myself as a freelancer from home has its perks but can leave you feeling isolated at times. I’d always fancied giving golf a go but would never have considered going alone. So when I saw an advert for one of the Relaxed Golf sessions I took the plunge. Pip immediately put us all at ease - just a small group of 4 newbies just looking for fun whilst trying something new. Fresh air, exercise and social interaction all at the same time. 6 sessions in and we’re all loving it. Highly recommend! 

I came along as a total beginner and wasn’t sure what to expect — but I’ve honestly loved it. The sessions are relaxed, friendly, and I never felt out of place. What’s surprised me most is how much it clears my head. It’s one of the only things that helps me stop overthinking. Just being outside, moving, and focusing on the game has really lifted my mood.

In the overwhelm of life, the rhythmic solidity of club on ball on a journey through space is utterly absorbing. The employment of the pragmatic to travel from A to B to slowly build consistency is confidence building. All at a pace that enhances absorption of what surrounds, in this case the greeness of the grass, the leaves of the trees, the songs of the birds. And somehow, all seems possible. That is golf.

I would very much recommend Relaxed Golf Sessions, as I recently joined in a golf session at Snainton Golf Course. I was very apprehensive and I didn't really have much of a clue what to expect. From the initial welcome to the final putt, it was a fantastic experience. I lost track of time, I found I could forget every day stress for a while, and I had fantastic support & encouragement throughout. It's more than the golf, though; it's about support, giving confidence and being able to 'be yourself' while enjoying the benefits of being in the outdoors. I would definitely recommend Relaxed Golf.
