Relaxed Golf

Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and local storage Relaxed Golf uses. It is based on what the site actually does today — we have not added generic items that do not apply.

What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Local storage is similar information kept by your browser. Both help a site remember things between pages or visits.

What Relaxed Golf uses

Relaxed Golf uses a small amount of storage that is necessary to run the site and remember basic preferences. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or third-party tracking on our pages.

Strictly necessary

  • Sign-in token (local storage) — keeps you signed in and lets you use members-only pages. Without it you would have to sign in again on every page. This is needed for the service to work.

Functionality / preferences

  • Compare list (rg_compare_businesses, local storage) — remembers the businesses you add to your compare list while browsing.
  • Sidebar preference (rg_sidebar, local storage) — remembers whether your member sidebar is open or closed.

These are needed for those features to work the way you expect, and they stay on your device.

What we do not use

Relaxed Golf does not currently use:

  • analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or similar);
  • advertising or marketing cookies;
  • cross-site tracking pixels; or
  • social-media sharing buttons that track you.

Because we only use strictly necessary and functionality storage, we do not show a consent pop-up for cookies. You will see a small, dismissible notice linking to this policy.

Third-party services and cookies

Some features load content or services from other providers. These providers may set their own cookies on their own websites, which Relaxed Golf does not control. They only load when you use the relevant feature:

  • Google sign-in — if you choose "Continue with Google", Google handles the sign-in on its own site under Google's policies.
  • OpenStreetMap — map tiles load when you view a map on a Golf Place or business page. OpenStreetMap may receive your IP address and the map area requested.
  • Stripe — used only for business subscription payments. Stripe handles any payment cookies on its own pages.
  • Image delivery — images are delivered through the Base44/Wix media service, which serves the image files.

Managing and clearing storage

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. Clearing your sign-in token will sign you out. Most browsers also let you block all storage, though that may stop some features (such as staying signed in or the compare list) from working.
